dc.description.abstract We report on a performance study of a French-Canadian fiddler. The fiddling tradition forms an interesting contrast to classical violin performance in several ways. Distinguishing features include special elements in the bowing technique and the presence of an accompanying foot clogging pattern. These two characteristics are described, visualized and analyzed using video and motion capture recordings as source material.
